Latino leaders throughout Ventura County came together in early spring of 2024 and started conversations about forming a countywide club that represented the values and focused on the socio-economic issues that were important to Latino working families. Many felt that our voices weren't not being heard, so we decided to "Do Something" and formed the Latino Democratic Club of Ventura County in the summer of 2024.
The Latino Democratic Club of Ventura County affirms that Latino voices are crucial in elections because they represent a diverse and growing segment of the electorate with unique perspectives and needs. Their participation helps ensure that the policies and decisions made reflect the broad spectrum of American society. Latino voters bring attention to issues such as immigration reform, education, healthcare, and economic opportunity, which can lead to more inclusive and effective governance. Moreover, their engagement can drive greater voter turnout and political activism, ultimately contributing to a more representative and democratic process. By valuing and amplifying Latino voices, we strengthen the fabric of our democracy and work towards solutions that benefit all communities.
